Elder Aaron R. Pettus
PASTOR
Pastor Aaron R. Pettus is a native of Hopkinsville Kentucky where he serves as the pastor of Foston Chapel Baptist Church. Pastor Pettus felt the call of God upon His life many years ago but surrendered to the will of God on May 11 of 2008. Pastor Pettus was licensed to preach the word of God on May 10th, 2009 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He received his ordination certificate on October 23rd, 2011. He is an ordained Elder in The Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship under the leadership of Bishop J.W. Walker and founder Bishop Paul S. Morton. Pastor Pettus has a passion for preaching and teaching God’s Word. In the First District Association of Kentucky Baptist he has served as President, 1st Vice President and Dean for Congress of Christian Education and Youth Director for Section Four Youth. Currently, he serves as Treasurer for Congress of Christian Education, Executive Board member for 1st District Association of Baptist in Kentucky, Trustee with the Hopkinsville College of the Bible.
Pastor Pettus has a passion for education and holds a Master Degree from Murray State University, a Bachelor's of Theology from American Baptist College, a Bachelor Degree in Education from Austin Peay State University, an associate degree in Business from Hopkinsville Community COLLEGE and have studied at Andersonville Theological college and Hopkinsville College Of The Bible.
Pastor Pettus has a great passion for youth and believe greatly in the ability of young men and women to advance in the kingdom of God, in their schools and in their communities. He is founder of New Horizons Empowerment Center which is an outreach ministry to aid The Less, The Lost and The Left-Out.
Pastor Pettus is the son of Mary Pettus and the late Buford Pettus. He has three brothers and one sister. He has been married to his best friend since 1998 (over 21 years), Mrs. Victoria Johnson Pettus and they have twin sons, Terrance and Torrance Johnson, three grandsons Aveion, Zavion & Zaydon, and granddaughters Zaria & E’lajah, three God children, Brittany & Zavia Peterson, Aubr’É Ladd.
Pastor Pettus greatest desire is to serve God with his whole heart, mind and soul and to do the will of God.
